Founded in 1692 by William Penn, Bucks County has had a long and distinguished history. Purchased from the Leni Lenape Indians, Penn named the area my "New Township," eventually evolving to Newtown Township. Through the years, the area has rapidly changed from farmland to neighborhoods.

Newtown Township offers a multitude of family fun, including the arts and culture of nearby cities as well as the countless outdoor recreational possibilities. Offering performances for audiences of all ages, the area provides residents off-Broadway productions to children's theater, to a full lineup of outstanding shows at the community theaters.
